Ag-Grid Energy|Cohocton, NY

AMCREF provided tax credit consulting services to Ag-Grid Energy, a minority and women owned waste-to-energy developer which partnered with Lent Hill Dairy Farm, a 172-year-old family owned-and-operated dairy farm located in rural Cohocton, NY, to install, and jointly own a 2-Megawatt anaerobic digester system onsite at the dairy farm operations. The project produces both heat and electricity for a local cheese co-op factory.

The Dewberry|Birmingham, AL

AMCREF provided tax credit consulting services for the Dewberry, a multi-tenant health care and wellness facility serving low-income, uninsured and under-insured people living with HIV/AIDS. Located in a severely distressed area in Birmingham, Alabama, the Dewberry is home to two organizations: 1) 1917 Clinic, the largest HIV health care unit in Alabama (a Federally Qualified Health Center); and 2) Magic City Wellness Center (MCWC), a non-profit providing wellness and health care to the LGBTQ community in a safe, welcoming and affirming environment.

TEP Center|New Orleans, LA

AMCREF provided tax credit consulting services for TEP Center, an innovative mixed-use project in the historic former McDonogh 19 school in New Orleans. Named after Leona Tate, Gail Etienne and Tessie Prevost (TEP), three 6-year-old girls who integrated the school in 1960 escorted by Federal Marshals, the project includes an interpretive center dedicated to the history of New Orleans school desegregation, anti-racism education space, the Lower 9th Ward Living Museum, nonprofit offices, and 25 affordable apartments for seniors.

Base Camp|Water Valley, MS

AMCREF provided tax credit consulting services for Base Camp, Mississippi’s first education, innovation, and business incubator hub, located in rural Yalobusha County. The project includes Base Camp Coding Academy, which offers tuition free software engineering training to disadvantaged students, a satellite campus for NW MS Community College, and business incubator/startup space.

Barton Academy|Mobile, AL

AMCREF provided tax credit consulting services and post-closing services to Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies, an innovative, internationally focused public middle school located in a severely distressed area in downtown Mobile, AL. Vacant since 2007, the school reopened in 2021 as a model for 21st century learning with a focus on global studies and entrepreneurship, taught through a project-based curricular approach.
