TEP Center

AMCREF provided tax credit consulting services for TEP Center, an innovative mixed-use project in the historic former McDonogh 19 school in New Orleans. Named after Leona Tate, Gail Etienne and Tessie Prevost (TEP), three 6-year-old girls who integrated the school in 1960 escorted by Federal Marshals, the project includes an interpretive center dedicated to the history of New Orleans school desegregation, anti-racism education space, the Lower 9th Ward Living Museum, nonprofit offices, and 25 affordable apartments for seniors.
