Meredian Bioplastics and its parent company Danimer Scientific have been pioneers in creating more sustainable, more natural ways to make biodegradable plastic products. Meredian is building its largest production facility to-date near its existing headquarters in Bainbridge, GA. The Project will create a large number of quality jobs and substantial economic activity within a Non-Metro Persistent Poverty County. The added production capacity will allow Meredian to produce the quantity of biodegradable plastic packaging necessary for its large customer partnerships, such as Mars-Wrigley, helping to address the global plastic pollution crisis and reduce reliance on single use plastics.
