Mountaineer Mechanized (MM) is a startup sustainable logging business introducing modern logging systems to rural communities in Southern West Virginia. Use of MM’s advanced logging practices significantly improves worker safety, job quality and wages. MM’s methods also protect WV’s natural resources, including maintaining forest health by reducing road density, soil erosion and compaction, and stream sedimentation.
