Nemak is a leading manufacturer of highly complex aluminum components for the auto industry utilizing 80% recycled aluminum content. In order to remain competitive as the auto industry evolves away from traditional combustion engines towards more sustainable electric motors, Nemak’s manufacturing facility in rural Glasgow, KY needed to rapidly increase their investment in equipment to produce EV components. The new EV equipment helps ensure the long-term viability of the facility, which is a primary employer in the community. The KY plant utilizes approximately 7.5MM lbs of recycled aluminum per year.
