Woodgrain purchased a second site in Marion which created additional high-quality jobs, improved employee working conditions and increased millwork production capacity by 60%. Woodgrain also purchased an outdated sawmill in nearby Independence, VA out of receivership, preserving one of the rural county’s largest private employers and maintaining a vital purchaser of locally harvested timber. Woodgrain modernized the sawmill to increase efficiency and timber yields.
